To Keep The Lamp Alight
Born Ideo Bartholomew Takahashi, now known as Musashi Pjotr Kropotkin.
Born to a family with strong company bonds (i.e. indentured servitude, middle management), Ideo was set on a course for a command position in Mitsubishi Pangalactic’s Security Division.
He was a fast learner.
So he was quick to realize after basic training, that something was very wrong with his future options.
He went AWOL and found himself a lowly position on a slow freighter to the outer mining colonies.
He was 19 at the time.
Finding work first as a miner, then as a guard for the local Township, he got involved in underground politics before The Troubles swept across the sector and set the mining colonies aflame.
He was supplying small arms and later explosives to a group of radicals known as “Black Cobra – White Eagle”, comprised of Indian and Russian workers who were organizing to throw off the shackles of company servitude.
What was an exciting, but earnest venture for young Ideo, became all too serious when the Troubles broke out and the true struggle began.
It followed several years of combat in the ranks of the guerilla, never achieving a position above squad leader.
After assassinating a company official on “Moondawn”, he was smuggled off-colony to one of the other warring planetoids.
There he participated in several missions before he was captured and supposedly killed in an assault on his prisoner transport by insurgent forces.
He has been underground ever since, always evading attention, trying to keep the name “ideo Takashi” as dead as possible.
He now works as a guide, tracker and occasional bodyguard on any place promising cover for him.
His body and mind have been substantially scarred by his experiences and he is known for his eerie and sometimes frighteningly mad demeanor.
a good reason for most people to avoid his company and acquaintance, unless they need someone to bring them through the wilderness.
